Falleció este jueves, Manuel García Ferré, artista gráfico, historietista y animador argentino de origen español, radicado en Argentina desde los 17 años. Su arte ha sido orientado plenamente a los niños, siendo el creador de famosos personajes infantiles, como Anteojito, Hijitus, Larguirucho, Petete y Calculín, así como de tiras animadas televisivas, largometrajes animados y la revista Anteojito.

Muchas generaciones disfrutaron de las historietas de este fenómeno llamado Manuel .
Larguirucho nombre de una caricatura que se asemeja a la de un galgo " gordo " con una gorra muy particular , eso lo hizo famoso también en el ambiente de las carreras llegando a tener representantes caninos
destacados en lo suyo las carreras de galgos.
